The two glass floral ovals are gorgeous vintage elements circa 1930s. They were created to appear as carved rose quartz, with detail in high relief and mottled coloration. The large oval rests in an open setting iwth a border of jet crystal and hematite flower. Exquisite, detailed metalwork, layered in burnished sterling silver, brings this design to life. Made in our Los Angeles studios.

The Inspiration: All of the decorative arts of the deco period were influenced by the mystique of the Orient. I acquired these glass ovals many years ago from an importer in New York who had been the primary dealer of glass jewels during the 1930s and 1940s. These vintage elements are used very selectively for my limited edition jewelry designs. I blend the elements with settings we create especially for them in designs appropriate for the very spirit of their original era.

Last photo shows matching earrings.
17" long + 3" extender

Enjoy learning more about 1920s Art Deco style on our blog...
Shelley talks 1920s jewelry and design, click here: <inline style="box-sizing: border-box; color: #1f497d;">Art Deco: Angles and curves traveling at the speed of life</inline>
The highlights of Art Deco fashion, click here: <inline style="box-sizing: border-box; color: #1f497d;">Fashionable Flapper: Almost a 100 years later and still the bee's knees</inline>

For more product knowledge click here
